Direct answer
How should a hot-melt OPP labeler for water bottles be selected?
Define the bottle family, actual infeed condition and the approved roll-fed label specification, including material construction, thickness basis, print repeat, cut length, registration mark, overlap and reel details. Ask how the machine controls web tension, detects print registration, cuts labels, holds bottles and applies leading and trailing adhesive. Include adhesive supply, heating, extraction, guarding, cleaning and consumable boundaries. Acceptance should use production-representative bottles, labels and adhesive, with agreed checks for position, skew, overlap, adhesion, surface marking and code or artwork identity. Test roll change, stop-restart, speed variation and downstream blocking rather than evaluating only one uninterrupted nominal run.
